In 2002 we built the school in Farato with traditional mud bricks, so that the school would be kept cool. We then dug a well and built toilets. It has been named ‘Haqqani School’ and has been set up under the spiritual umbrella of the great Tijani Cheik Ebrima Nyass and the great Naqshbandi Sheikh Nazim. There are 3 classes with 40 pupils in each. Farato also has an English teacher. We pay the salaries of the teachers and provide uniforms, tables, benches, books and stationery. At the moment an extension block is under construction for a teachers’ room.
