Lamin
Kotu is a small village close to Jangjangbureh, formely called
Georgetown, 300km inland, off the coast of the River Gambia. People
in this area are extremely poor and as the travel conditions to
reach here are very hard, not much aid reaches them. The school
had almost collapsed completely in the rainy season. We rebuilt
it in 2006, added toilets and dug a well with a pump. We are currently
building tables and benches for all pupils and have employed an
English teacher.
