We started
supporting the school in Nema Nazir in 2000. We built toilets
and installed water. The school has been set up under the spiritual
umbrella of the great Tijani Cheik Ebrima Nyass and the great
Naqshbandi Sheikh Nazim al Haqqani. It was a traditional school,
which in a Muslim country means that it was mainly teaching the
Holy Quran. We decided to extend the curriculum by employing an
English teacher and a gardener, to teach the children to grow
their own food.
The school
has 4 classes with 40 pupils in each. We pay the salaries for
the teachers and provide uniforms, tables, benches, books and
stationery for the pupils.
