Travel Packs with 100 kg medicines in joint venture with International Health Partners UK were taken and donated to the Free Medical Camp in Lamu during the Maulid celebrations. More than 5000 patients were treated.

-Fruitsellers’ Association: seasonal blessing ceremony

-African goods bought for Glastonbury Charity Shop: myrrh, African hats, tawihs, necklaces, tesbihs and copper bracelets.

-RVTH: 20 stethoscopes, 10 glasses, 19 boxes of paracetamol, 1 mitrazepam, 17 tramadol hydrochloride, 2 diclofemac sodium and one ultrasound fracture healing system.

-Lamin Kotu school: completion of toilets, 40 benches and tables, English books and pump for the well.

The container with 300 mosquito nets, 30 stethoscopes, 30 sphygmomanometers, glucometer, 9000 surgical gloves and 40000 gauze has arrived at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital in Banjul.

 

JUNE 2007:

Timbuktu:
We have just sent off money for the second phase of the building of the traditional healing centre in Timbuktu. It is important that the roof is ready before the rainy season begins, so that the mud bricks don’t dissolve.
